Co-op Guide — 4 Officers, One Border
Protect the Border is a co-op/party experience for up to 4 border police officers. A coordinated squad runs the checkpoint far better than four officers doing everything at once.
Role split (daytime)
- Document checker — ID + face verification. Moves the queue fast; catches fakes early.
- Vehicle inspector — car + trunk searches. The evidence role; decides most arrests.
- Line guards / runners — watch the perimeter, handle disruptions, keep the checkpoint stocked.
The queue moves only as fast as its slowest step — splitting document and vehicle checks roughly doubles throughput.
Role split (nighttime)
- Primary defender — holds the checkpoint line against waves
- Support — covers flanks and watches for swarms
- Runner — loots and resupplies while the others fight
Communication basics
- Call out fake IDs and contraband — the whole squad needs to know who is dangerous
- Agree on bribe policy before taking one — one officer’s bribe makes everyone’s night harder
- Assign a prep checkpoint before sunset: “ammo stocked, backlog clear, positions set”
Squad synergies
- Juggernaut (250 HP, M249) anchors the night line; squishier classes stay on inspection duty
- Ghillie Sniper (SVD) provides long-range overwatch while officers work the queue
- Pyromaniac punishes swarms that breach the checkpoint — great with a defender holding the line
Class loadouts are permanent purchases via Gamepasses — see the Gamepasses page for the full list and stats.
Common squad mistakes
- Everyone inspecting the same vehicle — one queue, one checker
- Nobody watching the line at sunset — prep ends when the waves start
- Bribing solo — one bad call, everyone pays
